Glandless pump

The Para Maxo circulator is LIN-connectable pump, consisting of hydraulics, an electronically commutated motor (ECM) with a permanent magnet rotor and integrated differential pressure control.

LIN is not only used in road vehicles but also in non-automotive applications. The circulator series by Wilo (Germany) is intended for circulating fluids in hot-water heating systems and similar systems, including solar installations, with constantly changing volume flows. The product is additionally suitable for use in cooling and cold-water circuits, including geo-thermal applications and heat pumps.

The optional LIN interface complies with the VDMA 24226 LIN Circulator Profile (VLCP), which has been recently updated. This document is only available for VDMA members, referring the ISO 17987 LIN standard series. The LIN interface supports provider’s exclusive features, too. It enables a bidirectional communication between the pump and the host controller.

The pump can be controlled by LIN with setpoints (e.g., speed constant, Δp-v, and Δp-c). The pump provides information such as volume flow, head delivery, power consumption, current speed, current operating mode, error information, etc. If the signal cable is disconnected from the pump, e.g., due to a cable break, the pump activates an alternative fallback mode, which can be configured via LIN.
