Now, the Series 09 includes variants with LIN interface. The products can be connected with up to 16 other LIN devices. They are manufactured in accordance with the IATF16949 automotive quality specification. Devices with ISO 7000 conforming illuminated graphical symbols are available. The switches come in IP5K4-rated enclosures. They feature haptic and tactile feedback due to an appealing, durable surface coating. CiA has assigned on behalf of ISO the LIN Supplier ID 062h to EAO.

Introducing the products to the UK market Robert Davies from EAO said that using the LIN interface to communicate with the rest of the electronics in the vehicle is becoming increasingly popular in modern automotive applications: “LIN connectivity considerably reduces the wiring effort, which significantly reduces costs thanks to a daisy-chained LIN signal. The new switches with LIN interface are also notable for their low-power consumption, a particularly relevant advantage in vehicles with a limited power supply”.
